      • 1 large onion, cut into pieces
      • 1 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
      • 2 tsp oil
      • 2 tomatoes, cut into pieces
      • 1 tsp salt
      • 2 green chilies

      • 2 tbsp oil
      • 1 tsp cumin
      • 1 1/2 tsp red chili powder
      • 2 tsp coriander powder
      • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
      • 200 grams cottage cheese, cut into small pieces
      • 200 grams peas
      • 1 cup water
      • 1 tsp garam masala
      • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

Process

To make restaurant-like delicious Matar Paneer, first make its gravy.

For this, put 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.

Add onions to it and fry while stirring for 1-2 minutes. Cook the onion till it becomes slightly translucent.

Then add ginger garlic paste and cook for some time.

After this, add green chili, tomato and one teaspoon salt and cover the pan for 2-3 minutes. Switch off the flame and grind the onion-tomato mixture after cooling.

- Puree is ready.

Now we will make matar paneer. For this, put 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.

- Add cumin seeds to it and temper it. After this, add red chili powder to the oil and immediately add the prepared gravy. By doing this the color of the gravy will turn red.

After adding the puree, mix it well in the oil.

After this, add coriander powder and turmeric to the puree and mix it well.

After adding the spices, cover and cook the gravy for 2-3 minutes.

- Stir once in the middle.

Remove the lid and cook the gravy till the gravy reduces to half and its color does not change. After this keep in mind that the gravy has to be kept on stirring. Keep the flame high too.

When the gravy leaves the oil, add paneer and green peas and mix well.

If you are adding fresh peas, then boil it.

After paneer and green peas, add a cup of water to it and mix well.

After cooking for 5 minutes, cover the pan.

After cooking for 2-3 minutes, remove the lid and mix it with garam masala and coriander leaves.

Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes and turn off the flame.

- Restaurant style matar paneer is ready.

Enjoy matar paneer and mor  with naan, roti or rice.
