Ingredients for sweet samosa recipe

      1. Maida = two cups, 250 grams
      2. Sugar powder = cup, 80 grams
      3. Chana dal = cup, 100 grams
      4. Ghee = cup, 60 grams
      5. Cashew nuts = 2 tbsp
      6. Almonds = 10 nos.
      7. Raisins = 2 tbsp
      8. Cardamom = 5 nos.
      9. Ghee or oil = for frying samosas

Method – how to make sweet samosa

Soak the gram dal in water for 4 to 5 hours and now boil the soaked gram dal in a cooker with half a cup of water until one whistle comes, after that cook it on low flame for five minutes.

Now take out the flour in a bowl, add ghee to the flour and with the help of lukewarm water, knead a hard dough and cover the dough for half an hour and keep it to set.

After the stipulated time, the lentils are ready to be cooked, take out the lentils in a bowl and after cooling, grind it with a mixer and in a frying pan add one table spoon of ghee and lentils and fry the lentils while stirring continuously. When the dal turns light brown, turn off the gas and keep it to cool down a bit.

Now cut almonds and cashews into small pieces, after the dal cools down, add chopped cashew nuts, almonds, sugar powder, raisins and small cardamom powder and mix it very well, now your stuffing is ready.

Now mash the kneaded dough and make it smooth once again, the dough is ready for making samosas. Break small balls from the kneaded dough and make them in the shape of a peda. Now take a ball and roll it on a rolling pin with the help of rolling pin in the shape of about 3 inches and cut this poori into 2 parts.

Now fold one part like a samosa and stick the twist with water which is made of triangle. Fill 1 tsp stuffing in it and make a fold on the back edge, now apply water on both the sides and stick it well.

Keep the prepared samosas in a plate and prepare all the remaining samosas in the same way and keep them on the plate. Cover these samosas and keep them for half an hour.

Now your samosas are ready to fry, add ghee or oil in the pan and heat it, put 4 to 5 samosas or as many samosas in the hot ghee and fry it on medium flame till it turns golden brown and put it on a plate. But by laying tissue paper, take out the samosas on it and prepare all the samosas in the same way by frying them.

Sweet gram dal samosas are ready, after these samosas cool down properly, store them in an airtight container and take them out of the samosa container and eat whenever you want for 10 to 12 days.

You can also put samosas in sugar syrup, make syrup of 2 strings and keep the prepared samosas dipped in sugar syrup and keep them in a plate. When it cools down well and the syrup is set properly, keep the samosas in the container.
