If  you would like  to try something different than black tea,  tea  or milk tea, then this Kashmiri style noon tea recipe  are often  a healthy breakfast in the morning.  to reinforce  the taste of this noon tea,  you'll  also serve girda roti with it. The special thing about Kashmiri Noon Tea is that  tea  and  bicarbonate of soda  are used to make it. Not only this, it  also can  be included in Oil Free Breakfast Recipes 


Ingredients for Noon Tea:


  • 4 tsp  tea 
  • a pinch of  bicarbonate of soda 
  • tsp salt
  • 2 cardamoms or a pinch of cardamom powder
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups water

Ingredients for Girda Roti:


  • 3 cups all purpose flour or  flour  instead
  • 1 tsp instant yeast (available in market and online)
  • Ghee  as needed 
  • half cup lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp curd
  • pinch of salt
  • half teaspoon sugar
  • a pinch of  bicarbonate of soda 
  • half cup milk


How to make Noon Tea:


Put water  during a  pan and bring it to a boil.

When it  involves  a boil, add  tea  to it and boil for 1 minute more.

Then add  bicarbonate of soda  to it.

After mixing it well, add cardamom powder  thereto .

When  the colour  of the tea starts changing and the aroma of cardamom starts coming, then slow the flame and add milk  thereto .

Keep in mind that after adding milk, keep mixing it.

The color of tea may turn pink when milk is added.

When it  involves  a boil, add salt  thereto .

Now  close up  the gas and filter the tea in a cup to drink.


How to make Girda Roti:


In a bowl, combine all purpose flour, baking soda, sugar and salt  and blend  well.

If  you would like  to make the dish healthy,  you'll  take equal quantity of maida and flour.

Then add curd and ghee  thereto  and knead soft dough.

After this add yeast water  thereto .

If  you would like , while mixing all the ingredients,  you'll  add yeast water to it and knead it.

When the dough  is prepared , keep it covered  for a few  time,  in order that  the dough rises.

Then knead the puffed dough  another  time and make a dough out of it and make rotis.

Now put the tawa on the gas and after the tawa is hot, bake the rotis till they turn brown.

After this, bake the rotis by applying light milk on  each side .
