Ingredients Required : Paneer Kofta

For the koftas:


  • Bottle gourd - 01 (grated and squeezed),
  • Grated paneer - 1/2 cup,
  • Gram flour - 06 tbsp,
  • Onion - 01 (finely chopped),
  • Ginger - 01 small piece,
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp,
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp,
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - for frying.


For Gravy:

  • Onion - 04 (finely chopped),
  • Tomato - 07 (grated),
  • Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 02 cups,
  • Ginger - 01 large piece (chopped),
  • Coriander - 1 tbsp (chopped),
  • Fresh cream - 2 tsp,
  • Cardamom - 3 nos.,
  • Cinnamon - 02 pieces,
  • Oil - 04 tbsp

Method to make Paneer Kofta

For Paneer Kofta Recipe  we will first prepare the koftas. After that we will make gravy. So let's prepare the koftas.


Method of making koftas: Mix all the ingredients of the koftas except the oil kept for frying. Make koftas of desired shape from this material. Heat oil in a pan, add them and fry till golden.


Method of making gravy: Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. After that add onion and ginger and fry till golden brown. After that cool it and grind it in a blender.


In another pan heat the remaining oil and sprinkle cumin seeds. After this, add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, cardamom, cinnamon and fry it.


After this, boil tomato puree, grated tomato, onion and ginger paste and add a little water to it.


After boiling, add fresh cream and salt to the pan and cook till the gravy becomes thick. When the gravy is ready, add koftas to it and cook for 1 minute.
